Service
Discuss work with your company and service team through shared channels and message threads.
Service overview
Open Service for the active company’s conversations. All company members can access its Service channels without separate channel invitations. This workspace is company-wide, rather than a publishing destination for one brand. For publication accounts, use Channels.
When Service is enabled, owners, admins and members can send messages and create channels. Viewers have read-only access. Owners and admins can manage channels and Slack connections. Activating Service itself requires separate platform or authorised agency access; company ownership alone does not expose that control.
Request support or open retained history
If Service is inactive, the screen presents the available expert-support offer. Use Discuss your needs to open the contact form and explain what help you need. Submitting it requests a discussion; it does not activate Service or start a subscription.
If previous conversations exist, Open conversation history opens them. History remains readable while Service is inactive, but new messages cannot be sent. Disabling Service also stops its Slack links and cancels pending deliveries.
Create or find a conversation channel
Use Create channel, enter Channel name and Description, then create the channel. Give it a short name and a description of the work to discuss. All members of the company can access it.
Find a channel filters the channel list. Select a channel to open its messages. In the conversation, Search this channel searches that channel, Pinned shows pinned messages, and Older messages opens earlier messages. Latest messages returns to the latest view.
Send a message, reply in a thread or share files
Write in the message box and click Send. Use Reply in thread from a message’s controls to keep replies in its thread. Copy link copies a link to that discussion; opening it still requires company access.
Attach file adds files to the draft. You can attach up to 10 supported files, each up to 25 MiB. Supported formats are PNG, JPG/JPEG, GIF, WebP, PDF, TXT, MD, CSV, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX and ZIP. Wait for uploads to finish before sending. A file shown as File available in Slack only is available through Slack rather than a local attachment.
Your own messages sent from the platform offer edit and delete controls. Deleting a message leaves its replies. Owners and admins can pin messages. A failed Slack delivery offers Retry when you have permission; check the displayed delivery state before retrying.
Manage notifications or archive a channel
Open Channel settings. Notifications contains your per-channel Email notifications preference for new unread messages. This setting is personal, not a change for every company member.
Owners and admins can edit the channel’s name and description or use Archive. An archived channel remains readable and cannot receive new messages. Disconnect its Slack link first. Show archived reveals archived channels; Restore reopens one for conversation.
Link a Service channel to Slack
When Service is enabled, an owner or admin can open Service settings and its Slack tab. Use Connect workspace to choose and authorise a workspace. Add the connected Service app to the intended Slack channel, including private channels.
Use Link channel. Select the Service channel and workspace, enter the Slack channel ID copied from Slack’s channel details, and confirm. Messages and files are shared with everyone in that Slack channel. Check its membership before linking.
One Service channel links to one Slack channel. New messages and thread replies sync both ways after linking; earlier history is not imported. Slack Connect channels are not supported. A sync error needs attention in the connection settings. Disconnecting a channel keeps the local history. Disconnecting a workspace stops all its linked channels for this company; messages already being sent may still arrive.
