Sound familiar?

Known at home.
Unknown in Japan.

Japanese buyers research in Japanese, and more of them now start with an AI assistant. The answer is built from what already exists in Japanese: websites, articles and reviews. If you are not in that material, you are not on the shortlist.

  • You are established at home, but Japanese buyers have never heard of you
  • You don’t know who you really compete with in Japan
  • Your Japanese site is a translation that does not feel Japanese
  • You don’t know which media, review sites and communities matter here
  • Nobody on your team can run marketing in Japanese

We replace the guesswork with research: what Japanese buyers ask, who AI recommends to them, and what it would take for you to be recommended too.

What we do

We get you recommended
in Japan

Everything we do works toward one result: when Japanese buyers ask AI or search Google, your company is in the answer, and they get in touch.

  1. Know the market

We learn what Japanese buyers ask and which companies AI recommends, and why, in Japanese.

  2. Get found

We build a Japanese website and content written for Japanese buyers, Google and AI, not translated for them.

  3. Bring in leads

We put you in the media, communities and channels Japanese buyers trust, and turn their interest into inquiries.

How we do it

From the first question to your first customers in Japan

Eight steps, one team. We start by learning how the market answers Japanese buyers, then build and grow your presence here.

  1. 01Research

    01

    Map the market in Japanese

We define the categories you compete in and write the questions Japanese buyers ask at every stage, in Japanese.

  2. 02

    Ask every AI, many times

Each question runs on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI again and again. We see every answer: who is recommended, how, and based on which sources.

  3. 03

    Take apart competitor sites

We study the sites AI recommends in Japan and find the content that earns them that visibility.

  4. 04

    Follow the sources

We look into the Japanese media, review sites and communities AI cites when it talks about your competitors.

  5. 05

    Read the search data

Google demand, Japanese keywords and who wins them complete the picture.

  6. 02Plan

    06

    Draw the entry plan

A site plan for Japan, the channels and topics to publish on, and the media to get covered in.

  7. 03Build

    07

    Build and launch the site

Structure, design and development in Japanese, live on your domain and optimised for Google and AI search from day one.

  8. 04Grow

    08

    Grow, measure, improve

We publish content, track your share of search and AI answers, and improve how visits turn into enquiries.

When the Korean company STAYGE NXT entered Japan, it needed a localized website. We built it in Korean, Japanese and English.

I was very satisfied with the process and results of building the website.

FAQ

Questions about entering Japan

Do we need a company in Japan before we start?

No. The research is most useful before you commit to anything, and we can build your Japanese website before you have a Japanese company. When you are ready, our partners can help with company setup.

What do you do yourselves, and what do your partners do?

We do the market research, strategy, website and marketing ourselves. Sales to your leads, company setup, accounting, tax and legal work are provided by our partners in Japan, and we help you get started with them.

Do we need a Japanese website if we already have an English one?

If you sell to Japanese buyers, yes. They research in Japanese, and AI builds its answers from what exists in Japanese. We look at your current site first and tell you what to keep.

Is the content machine translated?

AI can help with drafts, but every page is written or reviewed by people who use Japanese every day. We adapt the message, examples and terms to Japanese buyers rather than translating word for word.

Can you guarantee that AI will recommend us?

No one can. We show where you stand today, what competitors do differently and what we change, then measure the same questions again to see what moved.

How is the work priced?

The research and each part of the rollout, such as the website, localisation or ongoing marketing, are quoted for an agreed scope. Platform subscriptions are priced separately, and our partners quote their own services.
