Your first audit
Enter your website, choose the depth of the audit and follow it on Overview until the results are ready.
First audit overview
Your first audit starts from a publicly accessible website. It checks your site, builds business context, researches the market, plans categories, measures AI answers, finds competitors and compares competitor websites with yours.
Each company runs its first audit once. You choose its depth before it starts: a Basic audit at no cost or an Extended audit as a one-time payment. Once the audit starts, its depth can’t be changed.
The work continues in the background if you close the window. The company owner gets an email when the results are ready.
How to start the audit
- Enter your public website in Brand domain. A domain or homepage URL works; a login-protected page cannot provide the required context.
- Click Continue. The site is analysed first. If it can’t be reached, blocks the crawler or can’t be analysed, the screen asks you to check or change the domain.
- On Choose the depth of your audit, compare the two cards and click Start for free or Continue to payment.
Repeated analyses are limited over a rolling 24-hour window. If you reach the limit, wait before trying again.
What each audit includes
| Basic audit | Extended audit | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | One-time payment, no subscription |
| AI answers | 90 | 675 |
| AI models | ChatGPT and AI Overviews | ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews |
| Prompts | 15 | 75 |
| Categories | 1 — the main one | 5 |
| Samples per scan | 3 | 3 |
| Website audit | up to 300 pages | up to 10,000 pages |
| Tracked competitors | 5 | 10 |
| Competitor website analyses | 1, up to 100 pages | 3, up to 10,000 pages each |
The extended audit card shows its price. Switch between yen and US dollars with the ¥ JPY and $ USD tabs on the card.
Good to know The audit choice appears only for companies on the Free plan. The competitor counts are limits: the audit tracks the competitors it finds, up to that number.
How to pay for the extended audit
- Click Continue to payment on the extended audit card.
- In Confirm your purchase, check the product, the domain and the amount.
- Tick both consent boxes: the terms of service and commercial disclosure, and the processing of payment data by Stripe.
- Click Continue to payment. The secure payment page opens.
- Pay by card. If you have a promo code, enter it on the payment page.
After payment you see Payment received while the payment is confirmed, then the extended audit starts on Overview. The receipt arrives by email.
If you leave the payment page without paying, you come back to the audit choice with a message that you weren’t charged. You can try again or start the basic audit.
Good to know The extended audit is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and payments are non-refundable. It is offered only before the first audit starts: after a basic audit, the next step is a subscription.
How to follow the audit on Overview
When the audit starts, Overview becomes the audit page. A row of ten steps at the top shows what is done and what runs now, from Brand to Audit results.
Below the steps, the page has four blocks:
- In progress — the step running now, with its progress.
- Check the details — data that goes into this audit and is worth a look.
- Ready to explore — results you can open while the audit continues.
- Done — confirmed details and results you have already opened.
Sections of the workspace open as their step finishes. A locked section in the sidebar names the step it waits for.
How to check the details
Each card in Check the details moves to Done once you confirm it.
- How you are named — the spellings used to find you in AI answers. Add a spelling, then click Looks right.
- Connect Google — optional — adds real traffic and search queries to the audit. Click Connect or Not now. You can connect later in Settings → Integrations.
- Your competitors — the companies AI names instead of you. Mark one as Not a competitor or click Add competitor.
How to choose the audit categories
Before AI answers are collected, the audit plans categories from your business and market and shows them in a card.
- In the basic audit, Main audit category lists the candidates, with one marked Recommended. Pick the one to measure.
- In the extended audit, Audit categories lists five. The first one is the main one: drag another to the top or click Make main. Click Rename to edit a name.
Click Looks right to continue. The card shows a countdown: if you change nothing within three minutes, the audit continues with the proposed categories.
Good to know If no clear market of choice is found, the categories are planned from your products and customers instead. The audit continues; check those categories carefully.
How to finish the audit
When every step is done, Overview shows a summary of the audit. Click Finish the audit and open the results to open the whole workspace.
After that, Overview shows your regular results. Its Download PDF action requests a report when one is needed; see Your PDF report.
Your company stays on the Free plan after either audit. Then review your brand context, market, prompts and categories, competitors and site audit.
