Help Taking action

Content actions

Choose the work for a Content recommendation, check its evidence and resolve missing information before requesting a brief.

Open the action plan

Open a Content recommendation and read Content actions. The coverage line states how many pages were examined and when, with the observed languages and sections where available. Not finding a page within that inventory does not prove that it does not exist anywhere.

Read the recommendation’s reasons alongside its actions. A plan may call for Create new content, Update an existing page or Publish externally. It can instead identify a technical problem to fix first, or state that no specific content change was established. Those latter actions do not offer a writing brief.

Page type helps identify which page is missing or already exists. The buyer task and the formats observed in cited pages inform how to write it. Updating a suitable existing page can be more appropriate than creating another one. See Page content analysis.

Check whether an action is ready

Startable actions show Ready to start or Ready with data limitations. Read the reasons and warnings below: partial coverage, old evidence or a single citation limit what can be concluded.

An action needing clarification lists the missing information and cannot generate a brief yet. You may need to choose an existing page, confirm a publishing account, check publication eligibility or supply verified case-study facts. The app does not treat incomplete evidence as proof of absence.

Clarify a decision

  1. Use Clarify decision on the action.
  2. For your own site, choose the existing page or confirm that no suitable material exists. For external work, enter the exact publishing account and confirm its ownership, method and country eligibility.
  3. Choose an offered format where appropriate. A case study requires confirmed customer, situation, work, outcome and source facts.
  4. Enter Reason for this clarification and use Save.

Clarifications do not consume brief credits. They update the plan’s inputs; refresh the plan if another participant changed it while you were editing. Generation still depends on your role, subscription and remaining allowance.

Generate instructions and keep their version

Request a brief for the action you choose to execute; see Content briefs. An external action can have its own brief without requiring an artificial original for your site.

When its inputs change, a saved brief can be marked Brief is outdated. Read the change and regenerate explicitly if needed. Previous actions and recorded results remain in history; a new plan does not prove that earlier work was completed.

Record work and follow results

Publish through the destination website or channel, then record Published URL on the matching action. A recorded URL is evidence of publication, not evidence of an AI citation. One URL does not complete the other actions.

Use Skip — won’t publish for work you will not pursue and Return to plan to bring it back. Published work cannot be skipped through that control. Use Tasks for assignment and review, and Campaigns for coordinated placements. A linked campaign retains its plan snapshot; review Apply updated plan when a changed recommendation is offered rather than assuming ongoing placements were rewritten.

Continue to Source trends and Traffic & results to inspect later observations. Completing work does not guarantee growth or establish that publication caused a change.
