Help Understanding your results

Traffic & results

Follow your own pages from AI citations to Google search visibility, visits and key events.

Traffic & results overview

Open Site → Traffic & results. The page brings together your own-site page inventory and three sources of evidence:

  • AI scans provide citations to your pages.
  • Google Analytics provides sessions and key events, including identifiable AI referrals.
  • Search Console provides indexing information, search impressions and clicks.

Connect Google services through Integrations to add their data. A disconnected source shows a connection prompt or preview, rather than measured zero. Check importing, connection and last-data notices before comparing results. Free Google connections provide a snapshot; continuing daily sync depends on your plan.

The overview groups AI citations, visits, key events and Google search data. For pages on another site’s domain, use Source trends.

Find and compare your pages

Search by page URL or title. Choose All pages, Cited in AI or Needs attention to narrow the inventory. Sections can be expanded or collapsed; desktop column headings sort their numeric results, and mobile presents page cards.

The columns show Cited in AI, Visits, Key events, Index, Impressions and Clicks.

Visits are Analytics sessions, not a count of unique people. Key events follow your Analytics configuration. Search clicks and impressions come from Search Console; they are different measures from visits.

Select 7, 28 or 90 days for the Google reporting window. Each service’s window ends at its latest available data date, which can differ between Analytics and Search Console. AI citation counts in the page rows and the latest index status do not become Google-period metrics when you change this selector.

Open a page’s results

Open a page row or mobile card to view its detail. The detail includes visits by channel, Google search results and click-through rate when the relevant services are connected.

The detail charts use a 28-day window, even if the page table is set to 7 or 90 days. Some summary values, including key events and average search position, come from the table row and keep its selected period. Read chart headings before comparing them with those summaries.

The audit scores and Technical audit link let you inspect the same page’s technical results. See Page audit for that screen.

Follow a recorded publication

Pages associated with a recorded publication can show the original, rewrite or cross-link role and publication milestones. The detail can show Published, Indexed by Google, First impressions and Cited in AI as evidence becomes available.

These dates record observed events; they do not promise a fixed order or prove that publishing caused later traffic. A missing milestone can also reflect missing integration data.

Confirmed AI referrals are visits identified through referral information. Some assistant visits arrive without that information. When sufficient data is available, a separate estimate compares direct visits around the first AI citation. That estimate is not a count of confirmed AI referrals or proof of attribution.

To compare brand mentions across AI measurements, use AI trends.
