01Competitor tracking

Choose which competitors to compare with in AI answers

Market research lists the players in your category, and every scan adds the brands AI actually names. You compare yourself with the competitors buyers really hear about — including new ones you didn't know of — not with a list made once and forgotten.

  • Category and players

Market research names your category, its sub-segments and its players, marked as direct or adjacent — a starting list you don't have to build yourself.

  • Possible competitors from AI answers

Brands AI mentions that you don't track yet appear with the answers where they were seen. You notice a new player early, then add it, merge it into your brand or dismiss it.

  • Past scans recalculated

Add a competitor today and Supasaito recalculates past scans, so you see its trend from your first scan instead of waiting weeks for history.

  • Spelling variants and domains

Katakana, romaji and short names count as one brand, so no mention is lost and comparisons stay fair. Domains AI cites as a competitor's site are suggested for confirmation.

02Share of voice

Share of AI answers for you and each competitor, by category

Share of voice is the share of AI answers that name a brand. Supasaito shows it for you and every competitor, overall and category by category — so you see which topics you already own, where a competitor owns the answer, and where to focus first.

  • The same metrics for every brand

Visibility, mention rate, average position and sentiment for you and each competitor, with the gap in points — one view that shows where you stand.

  • Leader in each category

Categories are your own groups of prompts, such as product types or use cases. The leader in each shows where you are close to winning and where the gap is large.

  • Measured on neutral questions

Prompts that name a brand are kept out, so the numbers show how AI recommends you to buyers who don't yet know whom to choose.

03Competitor trends

AI visibility trends for you and each competitor

Each scan adds a point to the trend for every brand, by category or by AI model. You spot a competitor that is gaining before it shows up in your sales pipeline, and check whether your own publications moved anything.

04Head-to-head comparison

You vs one competitor by category, AI model and funnel stage

Open any competitor to compare it with you by category, by AI model and by funnel stage: awareness, comparison and decision. When one competitor keeps coming up, this shows exactly where it takes answers from you and which part of the buying journey to work on.

05Answer comparison

The prompts and answers where AI names a competitor instead of you

For every prompt and AI model, Supasaito shows which brands were named. Open the answers that name a competitor to read why AI recommends it — the arguments it gives are the ones your content needs to answer.

  • Comparison by prompt

A table of prompts and AI models shows who was named in each, so you find the exact questions where you lose.

  • Answer overlap

How often you appear in the answers that mention a competitor — whether buyers see you as an alternative or don't see you at all.

  • Branded questions

“Aster vs Northline” and “alternatives to Northline” are measured separately. They show what AI says at the moment a buyer is choosing between you.

06Competitor website analysis

Which competitor pages AI cites, by page type

Supasaito crawls a competitor's website, sorts every page by type and matches the pages with AI citations. Side by side with your site, it shows which kinds of content AI prefers in your market — for example case studies or pricing pages you don't have yet.

  • Site summary side by side

Pages, language versions, cited pages and citations for both sites — a quick read of how large the content gap is.

  • Citations by page type

Product, service, case study, pricing, documentation, blog and news pages on both sites and on third-party sites — it tells you which type of page to create or improve first.

  • Site structure, page by page

The page tree with citations per section shows which competitor pages AI relies on, so you can study them before writing your own.

07Competitor source analysis

Websites that cite your competitors but not you

Every page AI cites is checked for brand mentions. Supasaito lists the websites that name a competitor but never you — media, Q&A sites, reviews, PR. These are the places where being mentioned can change what AI says about your market.

  • Source mix

The share of media, Q&A, user reviews, corporate sites, wikis and PR among pages that name the competitor — which kind of presence works in your market.

  • Verified, not guessed

A domain counts only when its cited pages actually name the brand, so you don't spend effort on sites that wouldn't help.

  • Your publication targets

Domains that cite a competitor but not you become recommendations — a concrete list for your PR and content team of where to get published next.

08Recommendations from competitor gaps

Recommendations created from competitor gaps

When the comparison finds a gap you can close, Supasaito turns it into a recommendation with the evidence attached. Briefs use a profile of the competitor's products, prices and cases, so your comparison pages are accurate and your team doesn't start from a blank page.

FAQ

Competitor analysis in AI answers: common questions

What is competitor analysis for AI search?
It measures how often AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews name your competitors instead of you, and why. Supasaito compares share of voice, position and sentiment, and shows the answers, pages and sources behind each result.
How does Supasaito find my competitors?
From market research on your category and from the AI answers themselves. Brands that AI names but you don't track appear as possible competitors; you decide whether to track them, merge them into your brand or dismiss them.
How many competitors can I track?
The Free plan tracks up to 5 competitors and includes one competitor website analysis. Paid plans raise both limits — see platform pricing.
Which AI models are compared?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. The models included depend on your plan.

Can my AI agent read competitor data?
Yes, through MCP. A connected agent can read competitor comparisons, category gaps and source gaps with the same permissions you have in the dashboard.
