Website migration to custom code
Move beyond your builder with a codebase your team can own
Custom code can fit requirements that your current platform cannot meet, but it also creates responsibility for deployment, updates and support. We choose the architecture around those requirements and the team that will operate it, then rebuild and transfer the agreed content.
We agree scope and fees before work begins.
What we deliver
A defined scope, ready for handover
Architecture and editing decision
Compare a static site, a CMS-backed website and an application against real requirements. Decide how non-developers will edit content.
Builder and CMS replacement map
Review Webflow, WordPress or other source-platform features. Rebuild hosted CMS behavior, forms, search or commerce as required; an export alone is not assumed to recreate them.
Maintainable delivery
Deliver the repository, build and deployment configuration, focused tests and operating instructions. Agree dependency updates and post-launch responsibility.
URL mapping and launch checks
Inventory existing URLs and metadata, preserve suitable paths and map changed URLs to relevant destinations. Test redirects, internal links, forms, analytics and indexability before and after the switch.
How we work
Agree, implement, verify
Define the scope
Review the current setup and agree deliverables, responsibilities, access and acceptance criteria before implementation.
Build and review
Work through representative examples, share progress and resolve issues against the agreed criteria.
Launch and hand over
Complete the agreed checks, document known limitations and hand over ownership, instructions and any separately agreed support.
Scope & responsibilities
The estimate depends on templates, content volume, languages, integrations and design changes. Platform subscriptions and third-party services are separate. Migration can cause search visibility fluctuations; preserving rankings or traffic is not guaranteed. We agree a launch checklist and a monitoring period.
What to share for an estimate
Share the current platform, constraints it creates, required integrations, preferred hosting if any and who will maintain the code and content.

Plan the work with clear expectations
Will a code export include the whole CMS?
Do not assume that it will. Exported files and hosted platform features differ. We inventory CMS editing, forms and other dynamic behavior and plan their replacement.
Can you preserve our search traffic?
We plan URL mappings, redirects, metadata and internal links to reduce avoidable disruption. Search engines need to process changes, so stable rankings and traffic cannot be guaranteed.
