Part-time Remote (Japan)

About the role

We publish a steady stream of Japanese content — press releases, company news, blog articles and marketing copy — and we want all of it to read as naturally and professionally as anything from a major Japanese company.

Much of our team is international, so drafts often start in English or come from a non-native writer. Your job is to turn those drafts into polished, natural Japanese: fixing the language, tightening the structure, and making sure the tone fits the audience and the occasion.

This is ongoing part-time work with a flexible schedule. Volume varies week to week, and we agree on scope and deadlines together in advance.

What we’re looking for

  • Native-level Japanese, with genuinely strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience writing or editing business content — press releases, news, marketing copy or similar
  • A good eye for tone and consistency, and comfort working to a style guide
  • Able to work independently and hit agreed deadlines

Nice to have

  • Experience with press releases or PR distribution in Japan
  • Familiarity with web/IT or B2B marketing topics
  • Business-level English (our team works in English day to day)
  • Basic SEO knowledge
