Ice-breaking activities
First we had a 15 minutes session of group works. During that time students in teams of 2~3 people outlined their ideal landing page image for randomly chosen products and services. The session finished with 1 minute presentations from each team.
NoCode for websites
The CEO of Supasaito Igor Voroshilov gave a lecture on what is a website in technical terms and how companies use it in 2024 to do business as well as what are the main success criteria for a website and how NoCode helps.
We have covered The main use cases for websites, then talked about what stakeholders are involved in web development within a company. Then NoCode technologies and Webflow in particular was presented as a solution to the challenges teams face in website development process.
Principles of web development
Before diving into a practical part of the workshop we took the students through the basics of HTML and CSS to understand them what web pages consist of and how the code gets to displayed as it is in browsers.
We used several examples to show how HTML and CSS code correlates with element and styling options we do in Webflow.
Practice building a website
After the lecture participants tried to build the website based on the image of the landing pages they created during ice-breaking activities. They had a chance to build simple pages from pre-built layouts and customize them using styling panel and changing texts.
Presentations
The last part of the workshop was a couple of presentations made by students during the practice time. We were happy to see their creative work and first attempts in website development.
