We interviewed Naoto Shibata, CEO, and Keita Mihashi, COO, of Queue, a startup using the no-code tool Webflow. Queue offers a platform named Morph, which automates data analysis tasks using AI, and also does client work on commission. In the interview, we discussed why they use Webflow for the Morph website and their client work, and how it has improved their work efficiency.
Can you tell us why you started the Morph service?
We began developing Morph because we saw potential for two technologies: new database technology and generative AI. Our initial idea was that these could help companies use their data better. Organizing and visualizing data from databases takes a lot of time. We aim to create a tool that makes this process much shorter, so anyone can easily use data. Also, most team members can handle data processing and analysis with Morph, collaboration among colleagues will flow more smoothly. Our ultimate goal is to make an effective collaboration work environment for people in different roles within the company.
What made you start using Webflow?
Our team members are strong in machine learning and data analysis. Before starting Morph, our primary business was R&D with client companies. When clients needed web development, we could handle it, but our resources were limited. This led us to explore no-code tools early on.
Most of our client work comes from municipalities, and we have used Webflow to build their websites. For example, we collaborated with Shibuya City to create a website for foreign entrepreneurs, featuring interviews and news about Japanese startups. This site was developed using Webflow.
Municipalities are increasingly interested in no-code tools, as they want to manage website maintenance themselves in the future. Given this trend, I believe the use of Webflow, which simplifies maintenance, will grow.
Why did you choose Webflow?
Our company was founded in 2016, but we started using Webflow in 2019. Before that, we did all web development with coding. Webflow's interface is very similar to CSS, so it was easy for our programmers to learn. With Webflow, you can directly edit CSS code, making it very user-friendly. Also, the ability to write JavaScript was a big advantage. For programmers, being able to do everything they could with code in Webflow was the main reason we chose it.
Has Webflow changed your work process?
Yes, using Webflow has reduced our workload to about one-fourth. We can do all tasks, from building to publishing websites, within Webflow, making the process much easier. Even setting up DNS domains can be done in Webflow. Minor adjustments and text corrections can be directly edited without writing code, so we don't need to go through deployment procedures. This has greatly reduced our work.
In Conclusion
Webflow is highly regarded for its no-code capabilities and an interface similar to CSS, making it easy for programmers to learn and offering great flexibility. This interview highlighted the benefits of adopting Webflow, including a significant reduction in workload and simplified website creation and management.
