This is a project of combining 3 media websites as one RICOH360 Blog and migrating it to Webflow from WordPress and other CMS used.
Background
RICOH Co, Ltd. was building a new brand "RICOH360" and as a part of this process there was a need to combine 3 different blog sites built on different CMS into one "RICOH360 Blog" website. It was decided to built the new blog on Webflow to have a modern and easy to manage website.
Process
The project was done in several steps.
Analysis
First of all, we did an analysis of the previous 3 websites, which were supposed to be combined and moved. We have checked site structures, article categories and links on the current websites. That helped us to find the main issues of the current website to prevent us from dealing with them in the future.
Planning and design
The next step was to do planning for a new website. We used Figma to build wireframes and discuss them with clients. After finalizing structure for a new website, we have made a detailed styling for the final design.
Development
We used Webflow to build the website. This project required to have content in multiple languages (Japanese, English and French), so we built a custom redirect workflow with a custom code. We used Webflow CMS to build articles and other content pages for the website.
Data migration
It was enough to just export data from WordPress as it was partially currupted, so we had to go thought each article and make adjustments to have it displayed correctly on the new websites. Althought there were over 800+ articles, our team did a great job in finishin this work fast by using autmotions. We have also worked on URL structure and redirects to make sure that all of the SEO stays effective even after we move websites to a new domain.
Polishing and publishing
After making finall adjustements we have finished the development and published the new website. We have prepared a series of video manuals for client's team to learn about how to manage their new website with Webflow.
