When I think about it now, I can only thank the team for understanding, planning and giving a form to my business idea.
We are developing products and websites for Mingako Co., Ltd., which works on DX in the publishing industry. Booko is a web service that allows you to create a book design from a template by simply entering text and replacing images, then publish it as a paper book and sell it on Amazon. We don't just develop products, we also create websites that attractively explain the benefits of our products.
Project target
At the same time as developing the "Booko" service, we also started creating a website. The purpose of the first stage was to gather people interested in Booko. Although the service is still in the development stage, if you can create a list of potential users, it will be easier to conduct beta tests later on. And since the service is ready for use immediately after release, you can have a dynamic launch.
As a means of gathering people's contacts, we chose the official LINE account, which is easy to contact. The initial purpose of the website was to encourage people to register their LINE accounts as friends.
Appeal point
Publishing a paper book is a difficult and time-consuming process that usually costs over 1 million yen. Booko creates value by simplifying the publishing process. You can create beautiful-looking print data simply by replacing text and images with templates created by professional designers. The content of the book can vary depending on the user. A collection of my favorite recipes, essays, blog articles, etc.
Design
We have created a design that emphasizes Booko's simplicity and is stylish at the same time. Introducing all the scenes of creating a book in design. The idea is that creators can discover things in common with Booko by visiting the Booko site. We also provide an explanation of the steps leading up to publication and the support provided to further emphasize its simplicity.
Blog
In addition to the design, we also adopted a strategy of creating text-based content to generate interest in our services. I created a blog feature on the site using Webflow's CMS. The blog includes articles that explain the features of the service and articles that answer frequently asked questions. We also used CMS to create article categories to make information easier to navigate.
Maintenance
We introduced Webflow's Editor tool so that clients can add and edit articles and categories after creating a site. Using the tool, even non-engineering clients can replace text and images on the site and manipulate CMS data. We have created a video manual explaining how to use Editor.
